Dr. Barbra Portzline is a strategic thinker and experienced change agent. She has over 15 years’ experience in evaluation, assessment, learning, organizational change, organizational development, instructional design, research and facilitation. Barbra has led assessments of organizational needs and developed strategy and initiatives based on the findings. Her experience ranges from supporting large scale organizational change efforts, to identifying and addressing barriers affecting programs, to developing and implementing strategies that mitigate risks.
Barbra is a results-driven project manager with a keen business sense. She is skilled at building relationships and collaborating with key partners to ensure projects are executed seamlessly and completed successfully within budget.
A self-proclaimed connector, Dr. Portzline effectively coaches, mentors and supervises individuals and teams in the health care, corporate, education, nonprofit, and government arenas. Using an evaluation methodology she developed based on a strengths-based approach, she has established a strong following of repeat clientele.
Barbra Portzline has taught instructional design, training techniques, and evaluation courses at the University of New Mexico, presented on evaluation approaches and methodologies, authored articles on evaluation, created an evaluation mentoring program, and developed an evaluation social marketing web site.
She is active in the New Mexico Evaluators and is currently the Advisor to the Board as well as a past president.
Barbra earned a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and a doctorate degree in Organizational Learning and Instructional Technologies.
